The story of Max and Julio found its true catalyst on June 25, 2023.At the time, Max was 29 years old, living on 97th Street and Park Avenue, and completely preoccupied with his medical residency in New York.Marriage wasn't even on his radar.Away from his family in Brownsville and focused on his career, Max admits he carried a fear of love, worrying about its inevitable "degradation and ending".
Everything changed during a quiet moment in bed when Julio looked at him and simply said, "You are the one".

What makes Max and Julio’s story so relatable is the "active effort" they put into their relationship. They didn't just fall in love; they worked to maintain the purity of their connection through care and awareness.
